On June 17, 2024, a Facebook page called ZAMBIA FOR ALL published a post alleging that a UPND member Moono Hamachila had reported the Zambian footballer, Fashion Sakala to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) for an investigation into his source of wealth. The post which also appeared on other social media platforms, included a quote stating, “We will investigate Fashion Sakala’s recent source of wealth.” – ACC. The post attracted mixed public reactions to the alleged ACC action.

Investigations by iVerify Zambia have established that the claim circulating on social media about the ACC investigating the source of Fashion Sakala’s wealth is FAKE.
